Rihanna Asks Her Family and Friends For Forgiveness

Updated: Apr 12, 2020

Rihanna says she is taking time out for the rest of the year to find a 'balance' to her work and private lives. Whilst calling out to family and friends asking to be forgiven for her lack of response to their messages.

Rihanna posted a selfie of her pouting on November 13, announcing that she has had an 'overwhelming' year.

The singer, with a net worth of $600 million, has focused her year on many of her business endeavours. Working on her beauty company, Fenty Beauty, lingerie brand, Savage X Fenty and the launch of her fashion line Fenty in Spring 2019.

The 31 year old, rose to fame in 2007, after the release of her single 'Umbrella' with rapper Jay-Z. The singer achieved a total of 14 number 1 singles, on the US Billboard Hot 100, before venturing into the business and fashion worlds.

Rihanna has since been labelled a style icon and makeup entrepreneur after launching her own fashion and beauty brands. With Forbes listing her as 'the wealthiest female musician in the world', behind the likes of Madonna and Beyoncé.

Her brands have had many successes due to their consideration for diversity. Fenty Beauty gained many supporters in the beauty industry after releasing 40 shades of foundation, for many different skin tones, on their first ever launch in September 2017. The brand have now expanded their shade range to 50.

The entrepreneur was featured on the cover of Vogue magazine in October, ahead of the launch of her new book - 'RIHANNA'. This book (retailing for £105) is a visual autobiography, including many unpublished photos from her childhood in Barbados to her worldwide tours, from iconic fashion moments to private time with her friends and family.

Many of Rihanna's fans are waiting for the singer to release new music, since her last release of album, Anti, in 2016. In Summer 2019, rumours surfaced that Rihanna will soon be releasing new music - however, she is yet to confirm this.

For now, fans will have to watch out for any comments Rihanna might make on her social media accounts over Christmas, with hopes new music is set to be released in the 2020.
