Reece Ritchie: Northampton's Up and Coming Music Artist


From Northampton to Manchester. From song writing to poetry. Inspired by the likes of Slowthai and Hobo Johnson. From Sixth Form to University. One thing that has remained the same, his love for producing music.


Reece Ritchie, an 18 year old studying Economics and Politics at the University of Manchester. Originally from Northampton, he pursues his love for music on the side. His spoken word, hip hop tracks are debuted on Soundcloud. Promoting to listeners via his social media accounts.


9 months ago marked the release of his first ever track 'It's All Right'. He claimed to get into "music and production as it is a bit different". The university student also stated, "I wanted to be a frontman but never thought I could sing", he is said to be inspired by artist, Hobo Johnson, after seeing him perform live.


Reece Ritchie's "family, friends and mainly girls" inspire his musical work. His September 2019 released track, 'Underwater in my Own Head', was his first track to include his vocals on. This track is also his most listened to song yet.


The aspiring music producer releases his next track, 'Mama', in the next couple of weeks.
